About

The Centre for Technology and Bioinformatics Millars is a new private research centre with the mission to provide technology to advance the medical field.

We are a team of passionate professionals with extensive knowledge in biology, bioinformatics, engineering and are partnered with the international engineering company Enginyeria PC.

We are located in the Millars River area in the Spanish province of Castellón, between Valencia and Barcelona. The Millars River constitutes a major part of the area’s history and “DNA”, from the prehistoric era to the Romans, and gives the name to our centre.

We have access to electron and confocal microscopy, high resolution camera, spectrophotometery, cell culture facilities and photon resin 3D printing.

Meet the Centre LEad

Elena Tomas Bort, PhD

I studied Medical Engineering, followed by a Masters in Cancer & Therapeutics and a PhD in Cancer Biology from Barts Cancer Insititute. Thanks to my studies and the kind researchers that welcomed me, I have been part of great bioengineering, genomic, pharmacology and tumour biology research groups. This interdisciplinary experience has equipt me with a great understanding of solutions available for common research needs.

I am a data analysis and design enthusiast, hence there is little that makes me happier than a great looking graph. I also find great joy in understanding the intricate mechanisms of living things. But above all, I am passionate about helping researchers find solutions for difficult diseases like cancer.
